I’ve got four kids at home, and the youngest just turned five on January 3. We celebrated my twins birthdays at “Build a Bear” in Chinook Centre, South Calgary and it was a chance to get the hang of some of the new video features of my Canon 7D.
The following edit is by no means a production piece, just a fun hand-held video I wanted to share with friends online. I plan to get alot more video time in before the 2010 wedding season, so look forward to some video highlights of the new engagement sessions to come!
I’ve been hired to work on some editorial photography for the University of Lethbridge’s Management Matters magazine throughout December and January. The work has been a fun departure from my usual wedding and glamour work, however I’m itching to get back into engagement sessions in the new year.

It promises to be the largest shoot of 2009. A team of 18 athletes, 1 make up artist, 5 models, 1 designer, 2 custom dresses, 1 scuba diver, 1 pregnant lady & 10 photographers will gather at the University of Lethbridge pool to collaborate on everything wet! Read more »

One of the things that separates a professional photographer from someone equipped with a “point and shoot” camera is the ability to talk the language of light. Many great photos are ruined by slapping a flash on the front of your camera (which creates hard shadows, and often “cave-like” images) and expecting your photos to look great. Read more »
